It looks to me like the McCain campaign wanted a victim on the ticket.
Having a victim on the ticket could serve several strategic purposes.

 

My thought is all the attention on his VP! No one talking about McCain, this gives him a really big edge, more time to prepare and come out strong. Good for McCain, bad for obama - binladen (thanks for the idea NPT)

On a lighter note and getting back to the religion versus evolution "war", doesn't religion look like a really good marketing campaign?

I mean, Christianity uses the Bible as a man-made resource available to the many (sort of like wikipedia). It uses the 10 commandments as a "10 things you shouldn't do" list straight out of the marketing book. It uses viral marketing and word-of-mouth to spread and even online evangelists (like several people on this thread) to make a point. If anything, God is a good marketer. I believe in God and hope to follow his path one day. Waiting for his next e-book.

 

If I remember a post you had about all the rumors about the candidates and you went on about obama and osama.. might have been someone else, but anyways was just trying to give you credit even though you may not find the humor that I did.

Ah. Over the last year, a few people here have referred to Obama as Obama Bin Laden, and I'd laugh, I guess (well, not really, because I just think it's kind of stupid, at best), if the same people weren't (with a straight face) saying he is an Al-Qaeda terrorist, set to overthrow the United States, all with a straight face.

That is partly why I used it. I think it was your post that had both the obama with Biden names together creating obama-bin-laden type of thing. That one made me laugh, I pictured how some of the alex jones conspiracy guys could go nuts with this if they weren't supporting Obama now that RP is out of the question.

Obama probably has the number of the beast in his name as well.

Seems like everyone has the 666 value in the letters of their names these days. Wasn't it Bush that they calculated that with too?
