get rid of the landing page and have the main url take me right to the shop

 

Its taking years to open the front page , look at that remove that landing page or just replace with a small and low size image so that visitors will remain intact , otherwise you will loose them...

avoid large files as they are taking time to load
use simple and clean template
remove /replace the landing page with some nice and small image /logo

I do agreedont show image and have to let cutomer click to enter, they will close it instead. try to point it to sales page directly.

 

Yep, I agree - don't make them click through from the landing page - that's one extra unnecessary step.

Also, the crosshair pointer is clever, but it's offputting, people are USED to seeing the pointy finger when you hover over a link, it gives me a feeling of uncertainty.

It's clever use of WordPress though, I must say! Maybe you could somehow visually separate the right sidebar from the main content by employing a few more web 2.0-type div boxes. The screen can look a little crowded and confusing - the menu seems to blend into the main content and it is harder to visually separate the content, which is the most important part!

Looking pretty good tho! Are you using CJ API, or just manually adding products?

 

I will try to redirect the root dir to the ship, and do the site without clicking!

I would remove that large image on the left. It takes too much space. My Firefox window got to 1255 pixels wide before the scroll bar disappeared! People with smaller monitors have to scroll to the right to see the content. And the crosshair pointer confuses people, like Markowe said.

Agreed. Very slow loading and too wide of a format.

 

Was following this. I do not understand what you mean by above? dont we all make a site with links/images from affiliates and once clicked we take them to the merchant site for the same product ??

Looks great, the loading time is still a bit much on the first page. You need to do some serious SEO work to that site however.

No, earlier he had like an EXTRA landing page and when you clicked it took you to his main products page and THEN when you click on BUY it took you to the seller's site. So it was an extra unnecessary step. I think he changed it now.

Very nice looking, I love the layout. I don't know anything about cosmetics, but I was able to tell immediately that your site offers 3 things: brand names, free shipping and low prices. If that is what you are trying to communicate then you have succeeded. The only criticism I had is on speed of loading front page.
