Why are so many DP members against Google Chrome? If you haven't installed it and will never install it - what are your main reasons?

Are there alot of anti-chrome people here?

I've heard alot of positive responses regarding Google Chrome from my friends but can't really be bothered to try it out.

i was going to abandon usage of chrome usage due to the 11.1 terms of service regarding a license for everything you post on the internet. but now that they removed those remarks, i'm fine with it. also i've heard many uninstall it due to the amount of data going from their computer to Google. just don't click the checkmark under the TOS that states "Optional: Help make Chrome better by automatically sending usage statistics and crash reports to Google." if you've already installed, you can uncheck this via the Options > Under the Hood tab.

I have tried Chrome and uninstalled it. I don't like the design. It lacks the functionality of Firefox.

Chrome is essentially google spyware. It also has MAJOR security flaws in its beta release making it unsafe for anything more than very basic internet browsing.

I wish Chrome would give IE a run for its money and drive that crap browser out but I'm afraid it's going to compete with FF.

I tried Chrome, and I think it is a nice browser but at the moment, its a beta product. There are no add ons, not even the toolbar. So I guess we have to wait for some time before we will see a stable Chrome version.

I have never installed it because I was waiting for the review but after reading so many negatives ones about it, I just dropped my plan. For the moment, my FF still serves me well with no issue and unless there's pretty good reasons that can convince me it's much better than my FF, then only will I consider making a switch.

Google Chrome is okay in my opinion. It's quite fast as browsers go, but the lack of plugins being available and no Google toolbar puts me off at the moment.

I have it installed and am using it, teh google spyware argument is something that is rather funnily populated by idiots who dont actually understand what is being colelcted and how it used.

The only reason I still use firefox at teh moment is because of it's third party addons, when google catches up on that I will be a happy man becasue it is so much faster at loading everything!
