I want to create some banner ads to promote my sites. Does anyone know where to get a free or inexpensive ad creator? Thx.

As far as I'm concerned, Banner Maker Pro is the way to go. It's very very very easy to handle and in fact, I'm using it for a long time now.

You get what you pay for. If you want a top performing banner, I'd talk with a talented designer, or go through a service that has shown it's quality work, such as http://www.rightbanners.com/

You're right theleggett, you get what you pay for but he said he doesn't have the means to pay for a Photoshop Ninja.

Sure, and there are certainly ways to get cheap banners designed.

However, if you can't afford a decent banner, can you really afford decent placement? And will a cheap banner convert if it does get placement? To me at least, it seems like a better idea to save until you can afford some decent design work and placement for best results — that's just my take of course.

Thanks for the input. "She" (me) ;) didn't really say that I couldn't afford a good banner maker, btw. There are usually good freeware programs for just about anything, so I thought I would inquire about that before I purchased one. I'll probably go with banner maker pro--I don't like to pay for things that I can do myself. :)

I think there is a section of this form in the buy/sell lists where you can set-up a contest for a couple bucks and people will make you a banner/titlebar/etc.

It's probably worth it to outsource the design to someone for like $10. Those free banner creators are kind of generic and cheesy. Spend a few bucks and get a nice custom design.
