Hi guys, I have done the following to promote my video (similar to youtube) site: 1- Digg, stumbleupon 2- article written (1 of them) 3- daily updated video content 4- create a clips and upload to youtube itself with my site logo in it. 5- link exchange 6- directory submission So far, there's no improvement at all. So can you suggest other method i could use?
you could buy a pile of cheap traffic, rocket your video to the top of the charts on YouTube. That might get you more long term exposure.
You can add your site here Free Ads that could give you some free extra exposure,it only takes 60 seconds to join.
I was suggesting that you send the traffic to the YouTube page with your promo video. Get that to the top of the YouTube lists, and hope that people come to your site when they see how many views you got.
make the title catchy and something that would make yourself click, to get the click think , think think. Be Creative...seriously it works
A lot of video sites actually exchange traffic; they often refer to this as 'plugging' another site. Try to become friends with other webmasters who exchange traffic and if you have a site that has enough of a 'niche', you can try and make the traffic stick. If you just have a general funny video site, you are not going to have the easiest time making people come back to your site, when Youtube is just a few clicks away. The other way would be to get SEO traffic, but again, its going to be hard to make any of this traffic want to organically come back to your site when the competition has an amazing system in place already.
Your website should promote itself. URL and Title has to contain keyword "video". So when having 80.000 indexed subpages you can expect 6000uv per day. You do have much more content on it, don't you?
Hate to be a pessimist but with Youtube holding the market share, and others like google vids, daily motion etc - I think the market is very saturated
Hi I might be biased because I am an seo article writer, but I believe the key is key phrase focused article submission to all the major directories. Reply to blogs that will link back to your site, and generally make your self heard! It is a slow laborious process and there are no shortcuts that I have found that will work in the long term. Good Luck Maureen
