Why do you prefer Cheque instead of Electronic transfer ?

    I'm using Electronic Fund Transfer, and I saw that many people are using stanndard delivery cheque.

    Which one do you prefer ? and Why?

    Many countries do not support Electronic fund transfer due to bank program and policies.
    The check is most widely accepted form of payment in the world

    Because they have to. Only an idiot will choose such option when available.

    Its an extra trip to the bank and a longer wait time.

    For me cheque is easy to liquidate, we dont have electronic transfer mediums in Nepal :)

    EFT is not been implemented in some countries due to security reasons.Thats why we are facing this problem,
    If EFT was available globally then one will always prefer to choose it.

    I love electronics transfer. Although the price is too much, it damn sure that I'll get money in no time to meet out my monthly expenses...

    It depends on where you are from. Like myself, I prefer Western Union because it’s cheaper than to receive in checks. Of course in US, mostly they prefer checks more than anything else.

    A cheque means that i actually leave the house then to actually take it to the bank and meet a fellow human once in a while.

    It stops me from being a complete recluse :) the cheque keeps me sane. :)

    transfer is quick money in your account to pay bills with, also an online task

    so works for me

    One thing I liked about the Google checks is always sparked curitsotiy and conversation with the Young women tellers in the bank who see "Google" on my checks. haha

    I don't prefer cheque. I prefer WU because it is fast and easy and i get Funds easily by showing my ID and telling my MTCN number.
