You can try as many times as you'd like, and you can make a very bad show of presuming I'm too inept to get your very simplistic point. You can also accept that I have considered your point of view, and disagreed, showing why.

Inept? No. You just seem to be avoiding the meat of the issue.

I guess the meat must include something beyond dealing with it squarely, with details. I'm sure you missed it:

Avoiding...hmm...yes, I've heard this somewhere. For the umpteenth time:

Any reason you, or any other Palin supporter, don't have a thought about her calling Obama in essence a traitor, at the RNC?

Hell Northpoint, I have dumbed it down as much as I can. Sorry you still couldn't see it.

We don't really need to agree anyway.

I don't know if this is the usual righteous indignation used for political purposes or if you're being sincere. For your sake and the sake of those around you(especially if you operate heavy machinery), I hope it is the former.

    Fact Check

"The attacks on Governor Palin have been called 'completely false' ... 'misleading.' And, they've just begun. The Journal reports Obama 'air-dropped a mini-army of 30 lawyers, investigators and opposition researchers' into Alaska to dig dirt on Governor Palin. As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her. Obama's 'politics of hope?' Empty words."

Guess naming youtube as "fact check" works in your world. Good luck, etc.

Well, if dumbing it down in order for you to come to your conclusion helped you, knock yourself out, though I wouldn't say this helps your argument. I prefer raw facts, personally. And no, we don't need to agree.

No NorthPinhead, I made my point quite clearly long ago and I tried my best to dumb it down so that even a simpleton could understand. Still it has evaded your leftist grasp.

    --End smartass retort--

You know, It is pretty easy to respect you sometimes, even when I don't agree with you. Then you get all stubborn and sarcastic. I did not even begin to be upset with you and you start with the demeaning bullshit. You're a big boy. You are way too smart to go that route. It really takes all the fun out of talking with you.

Now go ahead and take your shot.

I see. Please indicate where I turned sarcastic - sometime after your smartass comments above:

    and

Were they not? Particularly when I from the beginning posted points supporting why I disagree with your position, and none of them simply rely on Biz's specialty of "well...you're WRONG!," or your apparent hard-earned ability to resort to name calling when you can't figure out how to deal with a credible, opposing view, you'll forgive me leaving you to your pointless rant.

    Mmm pig!

Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
    Lisa: No.
    Homer: Ham?
    Lisa: No.
    Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.

I put syrup over my bacon. I'm not sure why. But I've never tried putting lipstick on bacon, a ham sandwich or pork chops... Yet.

The comment was not a direct attack at her but it is obvious that it was in reference to the joke she made about lip stick. It was placed in the speech for that very reason and everybody can see that. Its not a big issue to me but those who deny that it was aimed at Palin in any way is just wrong.

I love this forum. Anyone can start any sort of meaningless thread and the rest of the members are kind enough to explain things to the OP. First, it was this thread and then we have this one right now.

O'reilly has been pretty fair to Obama. I agree with O'reilly almost completely on this one.

The O'reilly/Obama interview a few days ago was good too.

    http://video.google.com/videosearch?num=100&q=o'reilly obama#

O'reilly was tough on him(and he should be, Lord knows they're not going to be at MSNBC) but you get the feeling that he probably really likes the guy.

He does really like Obama, he can't hide it. After his interview, O'Reilly's newsletters said Obama "is a sincere guy-that he wants the best for all Americans" and calls him "self-confident, determined and driven."

O'Reilly even tried to remind his readers: "Oh, but he is a liberal" but he ends up even downplaying that by saying how Obama is a grateful American and holds back his judgment on entitlements.

Very strange, its like Bill has a little crush.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Obama just recently also made a remark about his muslim faith. In the muslim world pork is banned.

I think you hit the nail on the head also. A backhanded message indeed. Obama is a darling and gets a free pass for any remark or statement he makes. He looks good and he sounds good and those are the only to issues that matter.
