I hope that he do some campaigning in Florida. He is one of the most beloved NY mayors and one of the most independent one. He is the key for obama's florida victory http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/newyork/ny-bc-ny--koch-endorsement0909sep09,0,2640021.story
I like the logic... "i'm going to vote for Obama because his VP, if called, is more experienced." Yet, McCain is clearly more experienced than Obama. The whole logic that the Democrats have been using in reference to choosing based on experience is just dumb to say the least. Anyhow, he's entitled to his own opinion. He is clearly a pro-choice, a supporter of gay marriage, and supporter of a government healthcare system. It is no surpise that he would support Obama based on those concepts. However, a gay political has-been will have little impact on those that might vote Republican in Florida.
Uhhh, i'm not exactly sure what McCain's policies in relation to Bush's has to do with this thread. It clearly had nothing to do with Koch's endorsment.
everything connects together. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/12/mccain-2005-i-totally-sup_n_106733.html does republicans think that people are stupid and they do not know what change is? the only change is that he will bring back the draft.
I would love to see the draft reinstated. It would probably send the left and cowards out of the country.
what part of it you do not understand i am too old or you are planning for deployment by voting for Mcsame
Where are you getting the source that McCain is ready for a draft? I've never heard this. Nor would it even pass if it were in plans. However, just a recommendation, The Huffington Post is a self-proclaimed liberal site. You should at least try to find sources that claim to be as balanced as possible. I would take a CNN or MSNBC link over The Huffington Post any day of the week.
it is pretty simple. Rangel is going to introduce the bill, democrats are going to pass it and grandpa is going to sign it. that is how the republican party going to end. he is not a neocon he is not scared of the draft. do not expect to read about it for a few months but do not worry now that Ed Koch is backing obama, Mcsame is going to lose the Florida and the election.
Wow. A democrat could introduce it, democrats could pass it, and it'd cause Republicans to be disliked? Interesting theory (where "interesting" = "requires lots of alcohol to get there"). Doesn't work that way.
he is the president. he can veto it but he does not see it as a problem and he would want to be fair. now what is wrong with serving your country
Congressman Rangel served in the U.S. Army from 1948-52, during which time he fought in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Rangel is often compared to McCain with his wartime service. It was a funny diatribe of who would introduce it.
he ha already said it. i do not remember if he has actually done it or not. ================================================================= i also like to add a little thought of mine. republican have tried for the past year and a half to scare these people to vote against their benefits. Koch would have never endorsed Obama if there was any danger whatsoever for israel. He will elevate this fear. If correctly used i would say he is the most effective advocate he can wish for. I think Koch just made obama the next president. Talking about king maker. it gets more interesting. are Republicans losing AIPAC? please digg it if you like it http://koch-obama.blogspot.com/
