Yellowpages Scraper And Script $400 A Month Income

Im selling www.ypscraper.com and with the right owner this can make a killing if you write a sales page!

Main reason is to invest in another site.

I bought the site about 4 months ago and had the script completely redone. The script is now better than ever and can scrape anything from yellowpages that you need.

The only promotion I have done is 1 30 day ad at Sitepoint. The rest of the traffic is organic. Just search for yellowpages scraper and the first 3 results will lead to my site.

Heres an easier to see demo on how it works than whats on the homepage.

Heres some samples of the format it does.

how will Yellow Pages view this from a legal standpoint?

particularly in the UK, where they jealously guard their copyrights and certainly their databases?

have you looked into this at all?

It only does the US version which they never have done anything about it with any of the scrapers out there (which there are tons). The UK and AU version of yellowpages though are known to care a little more.

You can add in the UK version but I would always stay on the safe side.

As there are almost 2000 different versions of the Yellow Pages in the USA, this is probably correct. [many are not in fact even yellow, believe it or not!]
In the UK I would expect about 21 days before a writ arrived.

Plus factor in that the YP in the UK is now putting everyting into promoting its online offering [its UK share value plummeted over 75% in less than 6 months on the back of disastrous printed product revenue decreases] and you can imagine how fondly they will view this little software ditty....

I maybe should have also mentioned....in fairness to the seller...reservations re suitablity for the UK market aside, this looks a fabulous piece of kit for anyone who wants to mine specific data by classification or area [or both]

    Thanks for the kind words.

With no bids yet I updated the price to $2500. Thats really cheap and you can make that back in a few months.

BIN must be made 24 hours from this post or the thread will be closed. Reason being site must be sold and transferred before Sunday night before I leave.

Dont miss out on this opportunity.

This site could be flipped easy. Just redo the sales page, maybe lower the price, and advertise. Then resell after a few months after you already gained your money back you paid for it.

    Aaron,

I ordered your YP Scraper from www.ypscraper.com yesterday and still have not received the link to download my order.

I've sent you several emails requesting an acknowledgement but still have not heard back from you.

Should I dispute the charge with VISA and PayPal?

No. Sometimes it takes a day for me to answer. Also the site is somewhat down while upgrading, not sure how you even paid for it. :)

Ill email you a copy of the script though.

Have you ever run your script on yellowpages.ca? I would like to know the results.

    Thanks
