• should i advertise on some blog?
• should i buy links or directory submissions?

I don't recommend for directory submission because directory submission takes too much time for crawling of your links so It would be better if you can spend this budget for social bookmarking submission (It would be much better if you can do it yourself (if you know it))..You have also mentioned for buying link so I don't think people can give you link for this budget..that means you can not purchase quality links from this budget.

Take list of dofollow social bookmarking site and starting to submitting in it.

You're very right But directory submissions are good even if they take time to crawl pages and links. Social bookmarking is HOT these days and it is recommended as second good option Though people take it first because of it's ease to do.

 

I am also believe in directory submission But if he wants to crawl his blog quick and get traffics fast then social bookmarking submission would be best....Anyways, thanks chillingbreeze..

There are also many free tools available where you can write your own post and get amazing traffics like hubpages, squidoo lens, zimbio etc.

I would go down the Social Bookmarking end of things rather than Link directory. I've noticed more traffic from SB linking methods, simply because; None actually goes through directorys!

Go Buy 4 or 5 new domains on niches on which you are good to write. update them weekly, no need for directory submission, jus do social bookmarking on yr own. trust me if you write good orignal content and regularly. your $50 will become $500 within few months.

Social bookmarking can lead better in the long run. People who read and enjoy your posts will link about it or comment, leading to more back links and link juice.

With directorys, because there are so many links there, google and other search engines dont take that link as serious as if someone posted an article of there site about your article... if that makes sense..

I personally prefer to buy post link from high pagerank with that budget. Directory submission is not working overnight, its not a difference as a link, but post link is difference, you can have a link in the middle of the post or article with a specific anchor text. The goals is you got link and also traffics.
