Once Starting a blog, is it too late to change your niche?

Say for instance I have recently decided to start the blogging / website world just to play around and get my feet wet with, but I am having 2nd thoughts on the content i am using and the way I have been marketing my website. (keywords, descriptions to content, etc). If I changed my nice now and totally redid my website while keeping the same domain name, would it be a bad idea?

Say going from a random content site, to a strictly day by day website about your life as a growing blogger?

No I don't think it's too late. You may take a small hit from the search engines after the redesign, but it sounds like you're at a fairly early stage of the game. With your domain name, it could really focus on any number of topics.

If you did a lot of marketing for a totally different niche, then it might not be good to switch focus.

with the domain name such as mine, what other alternatives do you think of? I kinda want to be focused on one main subject and not soooo much varied random content, that way I think my traffic results would be greater..Ideas?

you can describe how much free time during the day you have, and also talk about sites that you can see spending their free time just as much on something useless or helpful.

If you have a lot of visitors then don't change niche, just start new website with new domain.

It would be ok if it is still new like maybe into the first couple of months. Anyway, you also have a choice to start a new domain and then link both of them together. It's up to you to weigh both options.

site is still under 2 weeks I am pretty sure...I am seeing at least 30 visitors or more a day so far. I may just stay with the niche I am at, its just not exactly a "focused" content one and is kinda a broad range.

You still can change your niche anytime. hard part just you need to do the promotion and advertising again since your niche and keywords change. If your new niche can get you more traffic and money just go for it.
