I would never accuse an obviously stable person with impeccable anger management skills like yourself of having any sort of mental disorder. I'd also never accuse you of an almost criminal use/misuse of commas.

Because I stated the truth, that when you said you "took matter into your own hands", all you really did was yell personal attacks and profanities at a stranger over the interwebs and then get banned for it.

What title would accurately describe a debate on your debating style, "Fire Bad"?

Sorry you got caught up in this. You asked a legitimate question about what happened. I'll share with you what I know, since it affected me also.

Last friday afternoon, I was getting hammered with a series of infractions. Concerned that it was another ploy where one is given a pass and I am infracted to kingdom come, I sent a PM to the issuing moderator and asked if she was doing such on behalf of another poster.

She assured me she wasn't and that both us us were getting infractions. That I was simply seeing the ones I was receiving, but not the other side. In a followup PM, she (rightfully so) scolded me and said enough was enough, that "we" needed to get past these feuds. I responded, thanking her for keeping things even handed between the both of us and that I would work to make her job easier.

So, anyone that wants to look at my most recent posts and go back to September 5th after about 5pm, then do the same for the other party, can clearly see who is heeding her advice.

My own thought on it is, that either someone from a centrist perspective was tired of both of our continuous feuding, and started reporting both of our posts, OR, someone that has done this in the past to silence others...it backfired and this particular moderator started looking at things fairly and what prompted the response of the issuing infraction. Either way is fine with me. All I ask is that the rules apply the same to all.

As such, that puts me in a unique position. Personally, I'd rather the "report to moderator" button be removed from this section. That isn't going to happen though. So if I am to choose, as was asked very nicely by a moderator (I have no qualms with her, she's doing her job and doing it fairly, which is refreshing) to avoid the feuding of the past, I have two choices: 1) respond in kind and take a chance of getting banned, or 2) report those personally attacking me and others. I don't like being in that position, however, since I have no other recourse due to the actions of others reporting posts, I have to choose the latter, or be subjected to more personal attacks.

So, that's what happened and it most certainly wasn't one sided. Shortly after we were both warned, said poster went on a rampage of continued personal attacks towards me.

My advice would be, to simply put people like that on ignore. That way we are not tempted to respond to those types of attacks and subject ourselves to what they are going through. So I shall be most certainly on my toes going forward
