Blog Link here -----> http://www.recipedose.com I modified the dimensions of a template to meet my blog content requirement . Looking for honest reviews for Design/Placement etc
Not a bad effort that I think the layout needs a bit more 'structure' though. At the moment, it's a white page with a few different elements scattered around. It doesn't really feel organized. The sections aren't clearly defined. The content doesn't stand out from the navigation, it all kind of bleeds into one. If you could add some definition between the various sections of the website, I think it would look much better! Good luck with your blog. - Matt
1. I think the blog has potential, but the image in your header should occupy 100% of the width of the template right now there is a big white space on the right side of the page because the image is not wide enough. 2. I think you should change the colors of your adsense ad in the right column so it matches the colors of your website. 3. I think you should add more colors into the color scheme of the site.
I like it, for a food blog, nice pics and good descriptions, but also agree with what MattB and Kingofsanda say. Good site on the whole!
Thanks guys for taking the time to review my site . I have adjusted few borders and am still working on the hearder section . Will get back shortly !
First thing I'll help you with is the alignment. - > Where your contact button ends the left column should end too. (the menu a bit smaller or the column a bit wider) - > The advertisment column title should be on the same horizontal line with the recipe index - > Make the "read more", "comments", "bookmark" and "labels" on the same line if you can. There are some good books on Typography and alignment on the web, I recommend the "The Non-Designer's Design Book" written by Robin Williams. Nice work until now, and polish it like you mean it!
The title graphic/lettering should be larger. It's not that much larger than the font in the ad in the header.
