Too premature to say anything .. I read that they would collect 17KM long DVD's (if stacked on top of each other) worth of data to analyze what they wish to analyze!!!
I think if the experiment is success full we will know some awesome things about this universe and world, if it flopes ,better luck for next time.
It seems premature now to draw conclusion, since today's test was a small one, albeit significant. I do have concerns, especially about the black hole thing since it "theoretically" can occur and put our whole existence in peril...
IMHO this is a horrible idea!!! No body should try to play god because if is is real Im sure it would really piss him off. This is about as bad as that project Lucifer I think it was where they try to supernova Saturn with nukes to see if they can recreate the sun. Its just plain dumb, Almost dumb enough they should be shot.

they wont be pounding protons before October people , enough with this panic wave. and i don't think they are trying to play god they are simply trying to discover facts about the universe or find new sources of anything let it power for instance. they only said they might generate strangelets or antimatter , the matter that congealed during the big bang!
