I have had a number of websites and blogs made specifically for revenue purposes but I have found blogs like that in my signature (legal) and those in the technology sector have been the most difficult for me to maintain. A. they pay the best... so i keep coming back. however... the topics are boring for me. The few blogs that I created in which I could easily drum up 6+ posts per day for FUN paid very little per click! I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Do you guys go with fun, or money.... or do you find something inbetween?
I go with both... but mostly in money... Even if I feel bored but the site is making money, I would still update it..
I stick with what I'm best at, and most interested in. Blogging is a passion for me — so I like to blog about something I'm passionate about. If I chose otherwise, I would lack the expertise, motivation, and ability to make quality posts on a frequent basis. In short, I don't focus on Adsense payments. Have you tried other revenue models, on top of Adsense? Such as direct ad sales, offering services, affiliate marketing, etc?
true, for me it's that initial pump though. building the content and link building. If the topic doesn't interesting, it makes that intial content building phase more difficult.
yes I have actually. I've really had more luck with the other revenue models. to be honest with you. I don't know why I don't focus on that... LOL I have made a few sites that basically bored me, but were able to create $100/month in revenues via adsense by themselves. I guess that's what keeps pulling me back.
