I was searching my name on the net and was surprised to see some of my personal details on the web. I had posted this information on some site where it should have been made private and should have been only available to other registered members. But no, it turns out to be available to whole world!!! What shocked me was someone with another username had used my personal info in his blog. I thought of posting this here so that i could warn others to be ware of these kind of funny things and i would like to advice "never give away any kind of information to anyone, be it your pen friend in your social community, or anyone claiming to live in you city etc" Its not only me who have been victims of cyber crimes.... there are thousand others around. This warning mainly goes to people who are crazy about social networking sites who post their photos, videos and other personal details. Just be-ware because someone might be watching your video and you might have a slight bit of information about your residential address. Then don't tell me you weren't been warned. lol Though i would share some bitter experiences with you, wouldn't want more people suffering. It already have so many victims, just helping not to add more fuel to fire, thats all( no offense to anyone)
Good advice. I've seen people openly post phone numbers, emails, addresses etc. Stupid people. This is the closest anyone is ever getting to my picture
Which site did you post on info on? It's good that you warn us here since you mention that the site is actually supposed to keep your info private.
