Well I like HTML and C because so far I only learn from study and now I have Java this semster so I would be happy to learn it.
My favorite must be CSS. It's just so pretty... ps to all you who said HTML. It's not a programming language. It's a markup language , but thats just me being a bit anal about it
PHP is one of my favourites, even it's not a real programming language. Visual Basic is handy for graphical Windows programs, though I really should try more C and Java on spare time.
HTML and PHP are always the best pair to work with for me I believe Facebook.com is one of the most trafficked websites on the Internet that was created using PHP and MySQL, so PHP definitely does rock in my opinion!
There are lots of different uses and different programming languages to meet those uses. For my work I use C++ and C# with a smattering of ASP.NET for all of my standalone applications. For web based applications it's all about HTML, PHP, MySQL and Ruby. You just have to use the right tools to get the job done, in the same way you would not use a hammer to drive in a screw.
