Looks like even if we form a team with the NRIs from the list and let them play, we'll still win... lolz
yes, thats quite true, such is the plight of english cricket! wonder what people from u.k have to comment upon that though, as i see only indians replying on this thread!
Yes, it's silly that some of our biggest players from recent times haven't been born in England... Symonds was the one that went the other way!
Yes you are right. Even their captain are also not from England born. Hussian from India, KP is from South Africa.
but he is not a native, and thats the whole issue. even if panesar was born, his case can be relaxed. but what about KP ? he is a southafrican by birth, only his mother was english so he chose to dump south africa for england...
I agree with you about Pietersen (and Greig, Lamb, Smith) etc before him. And also Basil D'Olivera who was 100% South African but had to play for England because he was classed as a Cape Colored and thus wasn't eligible for the all-white South African team. But Panesar IS a native of England. Granted his ancestry isn't English - but then neither is most of mine (I'm only a quarter English). However he was born here and that makes him 'native-born'.
truely, i think that reverse sweep shot of his did bring out some of the basic flaws in the laws that govern cricket at the moment.
Yes those two six is a one of the best and new shots in World Cricker and I wish we would see similar sots in upcomming Indian series.
only this new generation can think of playing such innovative strokes i remember the time when dravid tried to hit a shot like douglas marrilier, flexed his muscles did Dravid!!
Yes and KP did practice for this shot and he executed it perfect. Now we would see similar shots in Indian series as he will like batting here.
anyone heard about the Stanford games ? would these be better than the IPL and ICL ? what do you think ??
