Hi, I have got this project sort of a thing at my college and I need a script or coding that can do this work.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

We are allowed to use any programming language but I thought this can be done in PHP (though I don't know anything about PHP :D )

PHP is the easy bit. Your project needs to show you understand the technology around the requirements and have a strategy for meeting them.

Once you can display what you want to do, we can help you do it.

You also need to explain how much of it you need to code YOURSELF and how much you can leverage off other open source projects.

I'm saying that for your assignment you'll need to demonstrate the technologies you are going to use and the structure of the programming.

Once you know that we can help you find the right way to do things, but until you can show us what you need we can't help.

Yep, we could probably code it for you but that would make a mockery of your future qualifications.

yep. do you know any programming languages whatsoever? if so, then I suggest you use that since your course will expect you to use that for this assignment

I have done C, C++, Java (Core), VB, etc. but I cannot code this on my own. That's why I am asking for help. We are allowed to use any language for this. Once I have the code, I can learn the specific commands used in it (and some related commands as well). Hope this makes sense.

Thanks a lot for your replies. :)

Well if you use C++ I would suggest using that to connect to the web, download the page(s) specified, and work from there. PHP can do some of this, ie you can use file_get_contents() to download the page, however it speficies you need it to run as a backend process, so that would mean it updates constantly, which php on its own will not

If you know all those languages then why is this such a stretch?

No worries. I have talked to my friend and he will provide me a project he has.

The main problem is that I have never made a project before and I had read all the languages a long time back. But anyways, thanks a lot for your time! :)

You think my employer will need me to specialize in every language or software that I am studying? Employers only look for specialization in a particular area and I have already got one. It is bad that I can't use Oracle for my project!

Your employer will expect you to complete the tasks you are given honestly. If you can't do it, then you'll be expected to either say so or learn them.

Employers don't expect you to cheat at work, or in your studies.
Why do the course if you don't intend to do the work?

Did you read that I have a specialization in Oracle and I don't intend to get specialization in other fields! So, there is no point of cheating at work as I already know the stuff I will be working on.

I am doing the course just for the sake of getting a degree. :)
