Hello, The site might be worth the domain registration fee - approximately 10 dollars. The emotion evoked from the first glance of your site is that of "Whoa - did i just step into a time warp?". It needs to be "Whoa - election news - i wonder what's new?". A site that only has 2 colors, a lot of text, that does not offer unique content, nor does it have a "community", has worth only to the owner. Although you might have spent a lot of effort in your design and layout, the simplicity seems to mirror that of a beginner web design class meant for senior citizens. This might have been appropriate around 1997, but advances with Adobe Photoshop, digital cameras, and the available free resources online, only makes the site even more dated. Look around other sites! You will note that there are photos / images incorporated in the design. I do have to commend you on the blue wavy line at the top of the page -- if you did that by hand, that is very impressive. The other nice aspect of your site is the name of your business: Just Passing Thru Media. Catchy.. but people literally will just past through your media (site), if you stick with only 1 color. White is not a color. Change your title from "Home", to something more interesting. The menu bar on the right... are the characters "Glowing"? Or are my glasses just foggy? It IS a nice attempt to make it look better, but again... why. I can't recall the last time I saw a web site use "glowing" fonts. Please reserve that for powerpoint presentations. ... and, for the record.. if you really are a senior citizen, I apologize for the comment that i made above. You people have some much life experience -- much respect for you.
I would say free, but I don't think anyone would dl it anyways. Keep working and you will get there. Try using more than two colors.
Thanks for the very thorough review. I will make some of the changes you suggested. I did do the wavy line at the top by hand. Honestly I was planning on flipping the domain, but no one bought it. So I pretty much just "threw" the site together in a matter of minutes. SO thanks for all the comments. I think I'm gonna go spend a few minutes tweaking the design.
