    Hi,
I need help about choosing a dedicated server and a right company.

    Here is the some details;
    - My websites gets daily around 50k unique visitors. It is not all the time like this but around half a year they get..

    - All of the scripts are php + mysql based. I use sef urls.

    - Especialy 2 hours in a day they become very busy. And my current VPS with 1 gb ram couldnt cope with it. I always needs to restart apache within this 2 hours in a day.

    - There should be somehow managing helps. Sometimes I need php or mysql upgrade, and wildcarded dns thing etc. If I face with a server problem I could open a ticket and they responds it quickly with starting to solve the problem.

    - It should be cPanel. All of my websites are at cpanel based VPS now.

    - They should help me about transferring my websites to the new server..

I think I mentioned all of the things

Now I dont have any idea about how much ram or which type of CPU with how much frequencies, how many cores etc is need for this websites.

Pls give me some suggestions about server configuration and some company suggestions.

Datacenter location can be in Europe or in America.

That's a very good budget Themaster. What I would recommend is a dedicated server with at least 2gb of ram and a SCSI hard drive as these will be your bottlenecks. Most dedicated servers come with a fast enough CPU to handle what you are wanting, but your biggest concern will be your Ram/Memory and Hard Drive speed.

So here is a run down what I would recommend:

    CPU: Core2Duo of some sort
    Ram: 2GB-4GB
    Hard Drive: 10,000RPM SCSI

    Thanks for your suggestion Speedy059.
I heard something about "Intel Xeon". It has Core2Duo?
And You specified 10,000RPM. How will I know if it is 10000rpm or not, because I dont remember that I saw a specification like that at dedicated server companies.

And one more thing. The biggest problem I have is crashing apache regulary at the bussy hours. And I always keeps restarting it manually. Is it about ram or cpu?

    Thanks again..

If you get a SCSI hard drive for your server, it will at least be 10,000RPM as that's what qualifies a SCSI. The best SCSI hard drives are 15,000RPM. Depending what your budget is, you can get a very powerful server. I can suggest a perfect server but it is pointless if it's out of your budget. What are you looking to spend per month?

I would suggest Dedicated server (within your budget .. @ $145 / month) with following features

    The Deluxe plan:

    • 2x120 GB disk drive
    • 500 GB bandwidth
    • 2 GB RAM
    • Linux: CentOS or Red Hat F7
    • Plesk 30-domain control panel

    Thx,

Oh I never looked them if it was SCSI or SATA. So you suggest to have SCSI one.
And for the budget; I want to spend around $150 for a server.

Btw, thanks for everyone who suggest some servers at here or via pm.
