http://therunningman.net78.net/ is my site i'm just wondering why i can't get any hits to my site (<40 per day) and for the few people that do go, i don't get many clicks (<3 clicks)
Your site layout is not good. The ads are screaming that we are ads and don't click us. Add a 728 x 15 horizontal row immediately below the header this will increase the CTR. Add a large rectangle instead of the ad unit you have placed on the main page and plave it on the top. Change the color of the side bar to white from blue and similarly the bacground color of the ad block to white. To increase your site traffic get your site indexed in , all the search engines, including, Google, Yahoo, MSN etc Write articles and submit in the article directories to get the backlinks , the more back links. Answer 3 to 5 questions per day in the Yahoo answers community , this will also bring traffic. Once you have decent traffic to your site or blog and your AdSense income is low, try the following tips and see how your CTR increases dramatically. 1. Make your ads visible above the fold. Statistics have proved that ads which are visible without scrolling generates highest clicks. Another reason is that the ads will look like normal web links that visitors are used to click on them. Also the large rectangle ad format has proven to be the highest CTR generator. 2. Make your ads blend with your site content. Make sure that your ads background and border color are same as your content background. Ad text and URL should have the same color as that of the font color of your ads. And Make the link color to that of your web pages link color. 3. Make use of set of special comments to tell the Adsense spiders about your main content. This will help AdSense to serve more relevant ads based on your content. And more relevant content means more clicks. 4. Write keyword rich, grammatically correct juicy posts. This will make people read them and spiders will serve the best ads related to your keywords. Make sure you have some large content. Don't place ads on pages with 2 lines of content. 5. Make use of custom channels from your Adsense console. Analyze your stats and tweak settings so that you get the highest CTR. Keep records of all the changes you do and measure your results periodically. Apply these techniques and you will definitely see a dramatic increase in your CTR. Hope this helps you. Tehmina
To get the hits see that your site is indexed by google . Use proper keywords in order to get traffic.. Quality Contents...Submit your sites to directories and also to other search engines and dont forget the social bookmarking sites..
- think "outside the box" - look at google trends and try to find something related to your site... What are people looking for?
In a nutshell: Your website lacks content. What you have is not enough for Google to drive a larger number of visitors to you and obviously, the number of visitors you have in total caps the number of clicks you can get. You don't get clicks, because your content is shallow and barely above the level of common sense. People realize fast, when a page does not tell them anything new. In that case, they close the window and look elsewhere. Your final problem is, that your ads are not tailored towards the interests of your visitors. Figuratively, you are standing in a sports shop and handing out flyers for a traveling agency. Maybe the links in my sig are of some help.
No!!! If you plagiarize, you'll produce duplicate content. That is more or less the definition of MfA (made for adsense) and as such against the AdSense TOS and the Google webmaster guideline. Do it and you risk your AdSense Account being closed as well as becomming de-indexed by Google.
You can. Just maintain the backlink at the end of the article active in order to use those content legitimately. Mfa sites only have these other people's articles and no original content. If you have original contents and is using other ppl's content as supplementary, it is fine as long as credit is given where it's due. I personally use them in my sites.

Excellent suggestions and singularization. The Yahoo! Community Answers is indeed a novel idea to look into.
