I made a site for a friend a while back. See Here The site gets around 500-600 uniques a day when i made it I did it as a favour but he kept asking for update so I decided to put ads on it. Below is what got yesterday. 466 2 0.43% $2.97 $1.38 $1.38 for 2 click thats amazing for what im used to. I dont really read these forums that much but as modelling always yielded high returns like this?
Just checked back and now I have this for today modelling 74 2 2.70% $14.04 $1.04 Really is good money.
looks good so far. however, its too early to tell since you only have 4 clicks in 2 days. at this rate of traffic, you need to wait atleast one week to know the average pay
Modelling is one of good but it is not included here.. http://myseoblog.net/2008/08/21/lists-of-niches-with-highest-cpc-adwordsadsense/
maybe you got lucky with a specific ad that appealed to the site's niche. give it a few days then report back. would love to know if it really is a good money-earner.
I think it depends a lot on what happened to be clicked. 90% of my ads are the same kind - specific to my niche. But sometimes a click will give me $3.80 and sometimes it'll give me $.04. I average around $1.20/click. Sure I'd love to weed out the $.04 ads but I don't think there's a way you can tell which one they clicked on and for what amount. So I think you just need to wait longer and see what the average comes out to be.
CTR depends only on the quality and source of traffic... not just the quantity of traffic... its all about quality..
The niche your site is in determines the cpc. The ctr is effected by the way you model the ads on your site.
lol. modelling ads have Prada and other expensive wadrobe ads in them. diffinitely not high paying! I average about 0.45 cents with them too. lol
