Obama will rid the world from terrorist and evil doers. Obama's is like a leopard, and his feet are like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. Who is able to wage war with Obama? Obama is hope, change and will create world peace, and when he is in power, any nation that stands against him be destroyed. I like that he will stand up and go after those that have a "perverted the faith of Islam". He is going to crush Iran and Pakistan unlike Bush who was all talk. Obama is a modern day Christian Crusader, a true warrior promoting Christian values. Obama- " Asked to list U.S. enemies, Obama responded, "Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, a whole host of networks that are bent on attacking America who have a distorted ideology, who have perverted the faith of Islam and so we have to go after them." Obama- He said he would "never take military action off the table" in the case of Iran. "It is unacceptable for Iran to possess a nuclear weapon; it would be a game changer," Obama said. Obama- "to focus more on terrorist sanctuaries in Pakistan"
I'd agree, and to be honest, if Obama read anything from the 2004 playbook, he should know too much attention on the opposing team's V.P. can make you, as the presidential nominee, seem less than "presidential." He should, and I predict will, square up against McCain and leave the Palin flap by the wayside (though everyone else won't - leaving Obama to be "august," above the fray, a traditional tactic for all parties, across all times). That said, John McCain is the oldest nominee to stand for a first term for the office, with a history of serious health problems to boot. His choice in V.P. is especially critical, and a phone call from 6 months ago, and what appears to be an extraordinarily rushed judgment, doesn't speak well for him, or the country, in my opinion, should something happen to him.
I think the pick of Palin makes McCain look like a genius, Do I have concerns with her being the president if something should happen to McCain. I do, but I have the same concerns with Obama being the president, Lack of experience, and wisdom which comes with age and time. The reason I think the Palin pick makes McCain look like a genius is its hard for Obama or even Biden to attack her on experience when the their whole ticket combined has less executive experience then Palin.
choosing her was a political move, it means the old man put his winning the race over and above the country.
Well, I can't agree, Sonig, as, all else aside, her "executive experience" has been for as long a term as Obama has been running for President, a matter of the last several months. Beside that, she was Mayor of a town of about 6500. She never left the country until last year, when she had to obtain a passport to do so. For so many reasons, I consider this notion that she somehow has "experience" over either one from the Obama-Biden team to be a ridiculous notion - though an understandable tactic on the McCain team's part, since "experience" was a keystone of their campaign. Until selecting her in a frenzied, last minute, ill thought out decision. When you've got Karl Rove trashing Obama's short list selection of Tim Kaine, the Governor of Virginia, because Kaine was the mayor of "the 105th largest town in America," and "only governor for 3 years" then, one month later, saying Palin "was mayor of the second largest city in Alaska - with Richmond, Virginia, being about at close to 200,000 being something like 30X the size of Palin's Wasilla, well - yes, this is some serious reaching going on, to me.
Obama's resume isn't overflowing flowing with experience and accomplishments either so how can he criticize her for lack of experience when in reality he has less executive experience then her.
You are absolutely correct, "executive experience" , economic policy and reforming corrupt politicians does not seem to matter to most folks. Most people would rather sit and do nothing with the gas problem and not be pro active. Palin has more economic knowledge with a 2 year degree than Obama has with a Harvard Degree. Intellect can be determined by ones action and accomplishments. Action and accomplishments mean nothing to many people in the forum. The decision to pick Palin was well thought out and ending up being what the American public truly need. Palin is much more than a good public speaker, She is a women of action.
Aside from the fact that it is ability I seek, not previous executive title (witness: JFK), I'd consider his time working at $13,000 yearly as a community organizer - working to help laid off steelworkers get their insurance and pension benefits, for instance - to be a helluva lot more valuable than her time spent as Mayor of a town of 6,500 in rural Alaska. The rest will have to depend on what we value, what we prioritize. I value highly international and foreign policy experience, for instance, and considering Gov. Palin hadn't even left the country, much less had a passport, until last year - compared to Biden's expertise, or Obama's training (Columbia, Int'l Relations; Harvard Law) and life experiences (obvious), well - it just doesn't add up. Her limited time as Governor of Alaska doesn't scream "the maturation of executive wisdom," in my opinion.
talk is cheap. no sane person believes republicans fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me isn't this the line that bush couldn't say. it seems more republicans have understanding
JFK was a war hero when he ran for president, and shouldn't you compare Obama experience to McCain since they are on top of the tickets.
There is no comparing the two. The time spent as a community organizer does not equate to being a mayor. Obama lost in his congress bid because he stood for nothing and was seen as a man of talk and no action.
but what he say is what the repug say now time to change . threw the bums out. palin can't even stop her daughter from drinking how is she going to be effective against putin
Completely agree. Mayor of a rural town of 6500 is zero, when compared to the substantial and substantive work Obama did as a community organizer. Of course. Which explains why the same man is now the standing Democratic nominee for the President of the United States. Logic strikes again.
Not voting for policy and issues is a valid reason to cast. It give you one less thing to worry about.
