WRONG!! Search " acai " on google and see if you find a dot VG site on there. It's in the top 5! Which means as long as you are a reputable source of knowledge, google will acknowledge you... The acai fruit is a billion dollar a year industry.
I would think that plastics.sg would be an awesome domain to develop as a directory and informational resource on the plastics market there, with particular emphasis on export. Frank /and lmao at people wondering if Singapore is "developed" given it has the one of if not the highest living standards in Asia, per capita income comparable to that of the US and UK, etc.
I think its a better idea to work on purchase.sg than to work on difficult words with .com extension e.g. purchasingwithpurchaser.com because i feel in such cases still user wont remember such domain even with .com extension..... in short i mean to say, good keyword with weak extension is much better than a weak keyword with strong extension...because in this case users are expected to come through google only and users wont remember the weak keyword
Your not refuting my point at all. As I said google will recognize and rate high in SERPS any site with quality content and backlinks, the extension doesn't matter. Your readers on the other hand might be confused on the .vg domain and type in .com next time and you lose return traffic. Next time read what I actually wrote.
I was refuting your point on google. They don't care what extension it is, it's just that most people choose to develop a dot com first.
Google does have a certain basis against extensions, particularly free or cheap ones like .info because they tend to be used for spam sites.
Ironically no! Google's algorithms are non biased to any of the extensions. It's primary focus is based on search relevancy. It discovers and understands a site from other sites that a linked to it and what anchor texts that site uses. It's people who produce these links and it's the (dot) com extension that's been unitized the most through the life of the Internet. You can see this by doing a search for every known extension, .com then .net .org ...sg (etc etc ) You can see in the 'search results' count that google's awareness for the (dot) com far out weighs all the other extensions. Also do a search for 'news' on google you should see news.com.au in the top ten. this is the cctld for Australia. So with alot of link juice and good link partners and it's possible to get any extension competing with the (dot) com.
That sounds interesting.... then my point is .... isnot it better to build a web on cheats.sg than to build a crappy difficult name related to cheats on .com e.g. gamezcheatshere.com (imaginary) I think people can easily remember the extension as well if they remember the name.......... furthermore, if google is the major source of visitors to ur website then there shud be a no problem as users will be just clicking on the link...
