Contacting a editor will not do anything but bug them. The only suggestion I can give you is to submit it and forget it!!

You've just given the editor a reason to reject your site. Please read the submission guidelines, specifically this part [paraphrased] - "Do not submit the same site more than once"

    Vibha,

What category did you submit to?

At the bottom of each category page there is either an email link to the editor of that category, or a request that says "Volunteer to edit this category". On the category page you submitted to, click on the editor's name, a mail link will appear, and you can post your comments or questions.

Note that ODP editors are generally discouraged from informing site owners their sites have been rejected, or approved for that matter.

You probably won't get a reply but I would try the email anyway; your category editor might respond well to a politely worded request.

    Best of luck!

There is nothing mysterious or hidden about getting your site into DMOZ. Everything you need to know about how to get your website listed is available here: http://editors.dmoz.org/add.html

Read it carefully, follow the instructions, then forget about the submission and go get good contextual links with your keywords in the anchor text.

No sense in worrying over something you can't control.

    Good luck!

They will NOT give a status check, and generally will not talk about a specific site...

resource zone is the wrong place to contact with them.

they are allways giving stupid answers on resource zone.

if they do not like your answer on resource zone, they CREATE reason to ban

For me it is really hard to get listed in dmoz. try Some other methods to promote your site and forget about dmoz.

Reason your site is probably being rejected is because it doesn't have much to offer the ODP.

Main reason I will reject site is because it isn't unique! I can go on another site thats already in the ODP and find the same quality information, as well as other content.

Sites that sell re seller items will not be listed, even if they are a PR 10.

you need to remember that every editor is different.

Some are busy, and others check their category everyday. :D

I dont think there's any editors who dont want to include your link if it was good. The #1 reason is that there isn't an editor for your category or the editor is really busy with other stuff.

Editors do this as a hobby, and may not check the category when you want them to.

Do NOT contact the editor for the category. We get enough spam as it is.
