This happened so many times but not in car in doors for me... when I was a kid due to strong winds I got hit by the door (I was sitting on the door edge) and I fell down on the door steps and blood was oozing out of my head... I did n't know the pain that time as I was a kid but I still have a scar on my head...
Lucily, it's all healed now ^^ just a little bit of minor brusing around the point on contact, but it's usable once again ^^
My hand just got tapped by the wheel when I was changing the spare tyre as well. anyway, if you worry about serious damage you can go to hospital and do an x-ray.
short of it: I was being lazy (and obviously rather stupid) long of it: over time my lawn mower will collect debris in the "bulb" section...you know where you prime then engine before you start it. If that gets dirty then the mower usually won't run, it'll fire and then die. I had discovered prior to this morning that if I shook the mower rather hard, like from side to side, it often dislodged the problem well enough for me to continue mowing without issue. Well the mower began to sputter and stall. Instead of taking the 15mins to clean it properly I thought I'd give her a shake. Normally I'd initiate the shake from the handle but for some reason that morning I put my hand down towards the body (I was going to lift it partially and then let it drop), and stupidly put my finger underneath and BAM! ring finger catches the business end of the blade. Luckily my hand did not get sucked into the blade even more (wearing gloves). It gashed it pretty good, fractured my finger just at the tip, nearly ripped the nail off...I got lucky in many respects I think. Needless to say, do it the right way!
