Is it legal for me to view my own site?

I update my webpage a lot, and want to view the changes using different browsers to see what my viewers see. AFAIK Adsense is pay per click and not impression, but viewing does influence the CTR. Is viewing my website a violation of google TOS?

Suggest you view the local copy instead of viewing the final version on servers, or during test period, you may opt for public service ads.

Within moderation it is OK, however I am not sure how many times do you view your web pages, and with Google -- it is better to be safe then sorry!!

Adsense is smart enough to know that..they'll note your IP address and ignore all those impressions automatically.. so, Don't worry!

I totally agree. It used to be a bit dodgy back in the day but it's ok now.

You can view your site as many times as you want to. There is nothing to worry about.

I agree also - they know what they are doing, as well as what everyone else is doing!

if you view your site few times to check for updates, then nothing to worry. as long as its not unusual number on a regular basis. artificially inflating page impression is not allowed since advertisers pay based on impression + clicks

I'd go crazy if I weren't allowed to do that. I view my own site more than anyone, I enjoy working on them and browsing them. If ad companies were to make a problem over it, I'd remove them right away. The website is your property, not theirs.

As long as you are not clicking your own ads, there is no problem...

As far as the number of impressions that you generate is not 90% of all impressions you will be fine.

Sup everyone, i use adsense for 5 years and i use my website each days like my users and i never received any warning or something like this. Surf your site but never click your ads or it's an automatic ban! A++

Viewing your site is not against the adsense TOS
Clicking on your own ads... well that will get you banned

If doing such a thing was against TOS, how could someone ever interact with folks on their own website?

It's fine to view, not to click.
