For me when I deal with some one I look only for iTraders . I wish to have more than 100 iTraders since all review copies give to them .

To be honest I think they both reflect each other quite well.

I have a high post count, 250 unique itraders and 5000+ reps. For now I'm working on getting my itraders up. 40+ in the last month, aint too bad ;)

They both allow me to slap the newbies in the race to winning a free review copy in those funny make 1k per day threads lol.

When dealing I look at both. I'd deal with Smyrl for example. She has full reps but no itraders.

I don't have itrade nor Reps. I have no trade at present.
If I trade with DPer, I would offer the service that he could confirmed at once.
And I can work upfront and get payment later.

    Define powerful.

If you are referring to use of the BST section then itraders are worth more.

You're obviously a very trusting chap. Bahahaha.

In answer to the OP iTrader and rep and both indicators of trustworthiness, but not the full picture. I'd much rather deal with someone with 50 positive iTraders who is well respected* than someone with 300 positive iTraders gained by unscrupulous means.

    No names no pack drill.

*Well respected: Someone who has no negative iTraders, has been around for at least 6-months, conducts themself in a dignified manner and has never been banned.

I agree with almost everything you say. The one thing I do not agree with is the part of never being banned. Many very highly reputable members have been banned what can only be stated as stupid rules. Some have been banned for no fault of their own.

You can normally spot the less reputable members quite easily without even looking at their ratings.

Aye, okay. I'd make an exception on the banned part if it was someone I knew and they'd fallen fowl (get it) of some stupid rule.

Well, reps show how successful you are within the forum, how friendly and how helpful you are to the people. But once it comes to business, you can't take reps into consideration. Here comes the value of itraders.
It will now decide how helpful, honest and qualitative you are in your business. So, i would consider itraders more powerful. Hope it is clear.

Dont think the rules are stupid..I myself have been banned...Its just without reading the rules , its impossible to follow them..

Totally agree..I have seen some people with full reps , but when i saw there itraders they had 8-9 -ve itraders..
