Hi friends, I confused with my low adsense earning. I change so many time of ads, while I wait the result, maybe you can share about what is the best ads placement and the best ads size ?. And how many ads you recommend to make good earning ? thanks
I typically use lots of horizontal link lists such as the adsense ads at the bottom of some of our posts on this forum, as well as 468x60 banners. Just created a new blog yesterday, feel free to view the ad placement and mimic it: http://www.fourthfloormarketing.com
Lower the number of ads at vantage points, better the CTR. The most successful ad formats are 336x286, 300x250 and they may be merged with the contents while 160x600 ad format along the sides, preferably below the navigation...
Adsense ads are not "one size fits all" Placement and number depends upon the characteristics of the actual site itself.
Blending the ad content is the best method to get more clicks. http://excelblogging.blogspot.com/2008/06/ad-placement-for-high-click-through.html
Based on my current research with all my sites, my recommendation is: 1 sidebar + 1 square floated in the content. If the square is floated left, the sidebar should be on the right and vice versa. I make no claim to be an expert and I'm sure someone out there would tell me I am wrong, but with the sites I'm running, that is working best.
I prefer to use 250*250 or the 336*280 ad units. For my sites, these ad units performs the best. Ad placements however is some thing that vary from site to site. Every site will have its own ad placement. I suggest you try different ad placements and see which one performs the best.
Try to keep the number of ad units to max 1 or 2 on every page so that chances of lower paying ads appearing is low. Best placement is to spread the ads around to insert between posts and content.
Main page will contain one 468x60 add and sidebar will be 120x600 Post page contains one 200x200 ad and sidebar is 120x600
