You guys are really polite to a new poster, who just copied and pasted another persons article, and didn't even manage to copy all ten "secrets".

Come on, the advice was not even that useful in the first place with recommendations to buy links, use directories, use sponsored links to increase ranking and do off-line marketing in television and magazines.

At least it would be worth mentioning that Google is on the warpath against paid links, that sponsored links won't improve your organic rankings, that loads of directories have been delvalued lately and that off-line marketing is a very costly way to try and get links.

LOL! Very nicely put, and all true.

Only directory I bother submitting to is DMOZ, and even that is losing its seo influence.

Beyond the ultra-lame SEO tips Rajtilak stole and claimed as his own to promote his junk blog and increase his post count to a staggering 3 posts, what really bothers me is all the comments like:

    Thanks for posting. Great information
great info Thanks for sharing info
    Thanks for sharing

This thread does NOT deserve comments like these.

These posts were made by new members who are trying to increase their post count. Has anyone else noticed that the amount of fraud and scammers on DP has increased a ton. How about all the threads from people claiming they were ripped off by a user that has hundreds of posts and positive iTrader? The scammers are not dumb. I suspect DP is being targeted by groups of people using multiple accounts who post lame-ass comments to junk threads and conduct fake business to get a good iTrader rating. They then go on a scamming spree make some money and start all it over.

Just the other day I posted a thread for a couple forum posters. A member techie_mishra posted a comment that received an infraction from a moderator. This guy (thinking I gave him the infraction) responded from giving me fraudulent negative iTrader for a business deal that never happened. When I called him on it he said he was sorry but now I have a f***ing negative iTrader that I cant seem to get fixed.

Basicly we need to get ride of these scammers, post count bumpers, iTrader fakers before DP completely goes to s***.

I'm with you 100%. they're all trying to increase their post count to use certain sections of the forum and be more "reputable" :) This forum is definitely being targeted by scammers.

Same threads everyday giving you "good advice" about how to get traffic. They just quickly copy and paste some article. THEN this guy has the nerve to say something like he will have to TAKE LEGAL ACTIONS. HAHAHAHA

Digitalpoint is on the fall. It has really turned into a crap hole.

A very well-known secret is to submit to Yahoo for the $299 fee. Google itself actually recommends doing this!

Ya this is some pretty hardcore Top Secret information. Nobody knows this stuff. No one. I think we should put this post in the same box as where the Kennedy file is. Lock it up and throw away the key, because we certainly don't want this information to get into the hands of the wrong person.

Wow great ground breaking post. I just can't get over it. Thank you for revealing these secrets. With out this post I would have never known any of this. I owe you my first born son for sharing these golden insider secrets. Now I can hit the top of the search engines by using these secrets. You are awesome, keep up the great original posts.
