How Google Chrome Will Win 51% Market Share by 2010

It's really amazing how much power Google has. Basically any product that it launches has a huge advantage over the marketplace. The most recent example of this is Google new web browser, Chrome. Although Chrome is fast with a ton of potential, it's likely that Google Chrome will be the leading search engine by 2010 mainly based on the Google name itself.

What do you guys think about Google Chrome? Check out 12 ways Google can market Chrome here: How Google Chrome Will Win the Browser Battle - 51% Market Share by 2010

Can you think of anything else Google can do to win market share?

I highly doubt that chrome will beat out internet explorer. It might beat firefox but the majority of people still use internet explorer

Did you mean to say it will be the leading browser?

I am waiting for it to come out of Beta, but I wonder how long that will be...

That's an interesting article but I do not think chrome will become more popular than firefox.

Good question. If things like Google Base, book search, custom search,Documents,Google Health, Knol, Google Talk,Products and Checkout ( which I think is out of beta after a little over two years) and some other Google projects then it may be awhile.

Firefox have a loot of more features.. an a great community of developers.
    And a loot of add-ons.
I think that the Chrome will get a different kind of user.

Come on guys it's still in BETA...!
Do you still remember how long it was taking for other Google services to become FINAL ?
Ex: GMAIL ( Still in Beta after so many years of its launch) - We will see how it will goes.
In my opinion I think it's going to take a lot more than that.

I think that Chrome will indeed become one of the more popular browsers, bypassing FF in a matter of years. They simply have access to a huge online advertising machine and they are not shy to use it.

As to the share of the market they'll grab, it is way too early to make any estimates.

    Regards, George

well, i would love to try the Chrome, but too bad it doesn't support Mac yet.

i think it will beat firefox because it's Google's and also firefox is getting heavier (at least for me) these days. i only use firefox when developing a website. for normal browsing i use safari.

Chrome will gain marketshare on the charts incredibly fast. Check the benchmark chart for Google Chrome, IE, Firefox & Safari here: http://www.internetbrowserchrome.com/ They will make CHrome big... like adsense and the SE.
