Mind bogglingly stupid moments in film

You know those scenes that are so dripping, oozing in stupidity that they make your brain hurt just a little? The ones that have you trying to figure out just what's going on, because they can't POSSIBLY be that stupid? Yeah, that's what this thread is about. Warning: It may contain spoilers, but due to the nature of the thread putting Spoiler tags on them could mean the entire thing winds up blacked out.

I'm not talking about poorly scripted scenes that make sense or moments that defy logic within the movie's own rules such as the Action Hero of the week getting missed by 10,000 bullets up close. What I am talking about are scenes that break all of the movie's internal logic and most of the external logic, too.

While you may definitely say I sure picked an easy target in my OP, as it was a horrid sequel on every single level (Except Ryan Reynolds, who did the best he could) I am going to break out the scene that most completely sums up what I am talking about in this gem: Blade 3. Again, Spoilers ahead.

In the first ten minutes, Whistler dies. I won't get into how it's stupid to have him die shooting at humans, or how the actor just wanted out of this steaming pile of poo poo as fast as possible. No, that's stupid, but not mind blowingly stupid.

Fast forward about forty five minutes. Every single good guy in the movie knows Whistler is dead, except the few who never even met and don't care about Whistler. Every single person also knows that Dracula can change shape. This results in... Dracula sneaking into the human compound appearing as Whistler and noone knows what's going on.

Yes, out of all the people, infinite people he could sneak in as.. he picks the guy every single person knows is dead, and they still can't figure it out. I thought I was missing something at first, but after re-watching the scene.. indeed, there is no reason for it other than the actor still being under contract and drat it, the Studio was going to get their 5 minutes. I mean, picture an X-Men movie where Mystique changes form, to sneak past the guards at the white house, as Richard Nixon right after getting a warning a shape shifter is going to show up. And no one seems to realize what's going on. Yeah, it makes just that much sense.

So yeah, I might have cheated a bit picking one of the most retarded movies I've seen in a while (and I hope to God someone here doesn't have some actual explanation to make the above scene remotely logical, but that'd be pretty embarrassing), but being forced to see it again managed to make my brain hurt just as much as it did the first time and inspired me to write this post.

So, what are some other retarded scenes in movies - good or bad?

One of the worst scenes in a movie, that was really just the height of stupidity for me was in Hancock.

    HUGE SPOLIERS AHEAD!!!

Earlier in the movie Hancock stops a bank robbery, where several of the bank robbers are using high powered weapons and grenades and the like, and everything just bounces off of the hero. Hancock sends the bad guys to jail. The bad guys plot revenge and decide to break out and go after Hancock again. They find him in a hospital and using the exact same weapons that were totally useless before, they try again to kill him. Of course this time the weapons work, but how would te bad guys have any way what so ever of knowing this? Simply stupid.

Well how about the "The Matrix"?

The oracle predicted that Neo is not "the one" but eventually turned out he is. So is the oracle wrong? How can this be explained?

Never mind, I didn't watch the second and third sequel either. :D

Caligula is supposed to portray the cruel ruler Caligula who was a tyrant. But all they did was made the movie into a vulgar and sexual crap. If u really wanna know how bad it is, watch the movie see the review in IMDB
