I'm not sure if it's just my niche... but I've seen my pay per click drop from $.20 to $.05 with Google. It started about a week ago when Google Adsense dropped the referral program, and my PPC has not recovered since. The $.20 PPC does not include Referral program earnings. Revenue has gone from $1K-$2K per month to $300-$500 per month assuming that nothing changes with pay per click. Chitika is now my main money maker with a whopping $.06 per click, though my click through percentage is much lower. Has anyone else experienced this?
I've never tried Chitika before. Is it the same ads system as adsense? Can I place both ads together?
I thought Chitika only works with traffic directed from SERPs? I tried Chitika and I barely got it to show on my site....was awful.
yes, chikita pays lot more but they dont have that much related ads like adsense for which CTR is usually lower
I tried Chikita Premium and the most I ever got was 11 cents per click. That's no where near what Google is paying.
I never consider this as success... My CPC in adsense never drops $0.20 and having an average of $0.35... today, I got 3 clicks of $1.25 during the starting hours..
After each month, Chitika reduces my earning for 40-50% ( because of unaudited and audited revenue system). Arg CPC after month ends is 0.5 for me, no thanks.
I have never tried CHITIKA it all varies as i got US$0.01 as minimum and my highest was US$3.89 in adsense
Adsense sucks to, but at least they give me 0.8$. I replaced Chitika with Adbrite last month - Adbrite was my bigger revenue source that month by far, not sure will it stay that way because I heard some bad rumors ...
Adbrite's Inline ads - Works better for me than Kontera - as for many people Adbrite's banner ads - don't set them on auto-approve, if you do them you will get something like 0.10$ CPM So I would not say that they need to look like spam
It's really tough to talk about PPC without comparing niche's...but, in my case, I've noticed a huge notch down in quality PPC and keyword payout. It's really dissapointing. The best setup for me now (since the lower PPC), has been to combine both adsense and chitika on my home page. I'm using Chitika premium, so...yes, since 90% of my visitors come from search engine results, my Chitika ads are served quite often.
Chitika has a tendency to have very low click through due a reduced number of sites bidding for keywords, therefore there is less targeting.
my adsense is $500/month and my chitika $30/month i think adsense still the best PPC until now and FOREVER
Adsense is the best although not every one finds success with it and other alternatives can only supplement it but cannot beat it
