Just deposited $500 into adwords advertising clickbank products. To this date I've made $360 on clickbank but no payment yet because of no mastercard payment. I'm sick of it, and this is my last go at recieving a cheque! Just thought I'd share it!
You’re like me, it seems like every time I make a sale it happens to be Paypal, still waiting for a MasterCard sale as well. I which you all the best of luck with your Adwords campaign.
You have to understand, these rules aren't made so that it makes it harder for the honest affiliate to cashout the money, but to prevent fraud. Think about this, If clickbank could pay you even if you had one sale, than some customers would just create an CB account, buy the product via their affiliate link, and cashout the affiliate revenue, meaning in most cases they will get a 50-75%. They would do that will products they buy from Clickbank. That's why Clickbank has such policy in order to prevent fraud.
Lot of money there for PPC. Haven't thought of using other avenues (Craigslist?), at least they won't cost and you can just keep going until you get your final mastercard sale and can cash out.
Maybe you need to check the niche for products you are promoting and seeing whether other affiliates have had mastercard purchases in that niche... if not, then finding a niche where people have had mastercard sales can help. I am not saying mastercards will only be used in a specific niche, but they will be used more by a specific group of people and you just need to find a product that appeals to someone in that group... most webmasters probably have a paypal account and therefore not a good group to target if you want a mastercard purchase.
Thanx for all the advice, I actually have 5 different campaigns setup in 4 different niches. I've made 1 sale, but again a Visa Card. I'm really getting frustrated!
If I were you I'd play it a different way. $500 could buy you over 150 articles. If they only get 20 clicks each, thats a potential 3000 hops. A 1% conversion ratio would mean 30 sales for you. If you were selling something with a low commission, like $20, thats $600 you'd make. Thats my number game if it went bad. You could make well over $1000 if it worked out better. Dont just dump $500 and start direct linking with adwords. That's probably why you failed to profit....
I have to agree with mikey on that one. Don't just spend $500 through adwords, especially if your not great at it, obviously your new to it, so putting up $500 might not be the best idea. Do what mikey said, buy a lot of articles, or even use a ppc management company, you will realize better ROI if you let professionals take care of your ppc campaigns. I pay a flat monthly fee and no pay-per-click charges while my campaign is managed professionally by a company that specializes in ppc. Maybe try something like that if your not doing great with adwords. Unless you already deposited that money and can't get it back... Then I would at least get a book or program on how to use adwords
Try to promote by using a SEO company instead of just rely on adwords. You can lose your money just because of this mastercard problem.
Thanx again for the advice, too bad I already deposited the money (and no way to get it back I suppose). In Afrikaans we have a saying "haastige hond verbrand sy mond", meaning "hasty dog burn it's mouth". I recon this what happened here, I should've come to DP members first for advice! Ps- Please tell me more about companies handling your campaigns and which 1 is the best.
I like that saying... pretty good! Will have to remember that one! Definitely great advice in here, especially regarding using an SEO Company or buying lots of articles. I used to use Adwords as my ONLY source of marketing and I found that when my campaigns were running, lots of visits but the moment I turned the campaigns off or stopped using Adwords... nothing. My 2 cents worth in this particular case, since you are waiting for a Mastercard payment - is to find a Mastercard Debit Card or a Mastercard VCC and buy your own product - or have someone buy it for you. You get the money back, minus clickbank fees. At least then, your current and future earnings aren't tied up. It took me 52 sales to get a Mastercard. Everything was either Visa, PayPal or Amex... but I finally did get one - and you will too.
I would definately like to hear your experience with those companies that manages ppc? Because as soon as I get my creditcard issue sorted out I'm diving into ppc... and I don't intent to endup on the losing end.
sure.. I have been extremely happy with the company I been using. I started with their 'quicklist' service, and moved on to their expert ppc management. that quicklist thing they offer is a great way to start though. its fairly cheap, and includes ads on google & yahoo plus hand submissions. I was pleased with that, which is why I moved onto their expert services. now you've made me sound like a salesman.. like I said, this is the only company I've used, but I've been very pleased with results, so I haven't needed to switch. other than that you could try pepperjam, they are awesome, but expensive. but ppc management is the way to go. look at it this way: your transmission breaks down, it must be fixed; you can go get books, search the web, tinker with it and do it yourself, and it might just work. Or you could take it to a mechanic who does that for a living and have it done quickly and correctly with a guarantee of work... I'm the kind of guy who wants things done like that. but to each his own..
Just a quick update: I've used up $96.00 on my Adwords campaign, and made $178 with 6 sales - BUT STILL NO MASTERCARD!!
Hmm what niche are you in? I have never had an issue getting the credit card minimum before the actual monthly payments.
This rule is only for the first time though right? Good luck with the campaigns You can also just say someone to buy a product from you using a mastercard.. lol
Yeah.. just find a person with mastercard.. find some product that costs 5$ (there are a few)... tell him to buy the product.. and give him the 5$ back.. or just buy him a tasty cheesburger from Burger King
