Because do-follow forums are easy to promote. People automatically join it.

But for no-follow it is very difficult to get people in, I am making a new forum and I am thinking to make it a no-follow that's why I want to see some other no-follow webmaster forums that how they are working.

No follow concept is okey (just fair) , but how ppl use is sometimes hard to understand , you want to tell bots that some links exist but don't follow for some reasons. But some webmasters put no follow links in "most of the links" or even entire sites , that means web but not world wide web?.

I used to own one no follow forum , but , can not survive ...

OK i get what you are saying. Its pretty silly to have a nofollow forum these days. What is even more stupid is to have a WEBMASTER no follow forum. No one in their right mind who knows what they are doing is gonna sign up for a webmaster forum that doesn't even give a backlink.

Maybe they will if they're looking for information, not backlinks.
