Easiest Way to Screen Capture and Save?

I am looking for the easiest/fastest way to create a screen capture image and save it. I know "printscreen" then save the image but if anyone knows of some free software that makes this easier I am all ears.

It doesn't have to be free but I prefer it is because this is for multiple computers.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

There have been utilities created for ages (10+ years) and google should be able to find them for you. I do alot of screen captures and in the end what you've described is as easy as it gets.

I know this and I have used many of them - I was asking for personal recommendations of something that actually works well.

Thanks used it before. I'm looking for one that will auto name and save the images to the same folder, I don't think screegrab did that.

If i remember correctly Im sure there was options to do that.. Just set the default save folder as

    /path/to/folder

and double check the options for auto saving

Im sure mine used to autosave when i first got it 'cus it bugged the hell out of me for a week
