Hi, I was using NVU to edit PHP but when I upload the index.php file back there will always be a slight error in disorientation.
Example using NVU I edited the text just a bit then bam..The webpage became really funny

What is the best to edit my PHP file?
    Thanks

In my personal opinion the best editor out there is PhpED from NuSpere

    I cannot recommend it enough!

Quick keyboard shortcuts for FTP etc, code completion from classes and functions and also it was a remote debugger so you can step through code

It is amazing, buy it today!

I use Dreamweaver code editor at home (coloured syntax, code hints etc).
And PSPad on my Portable Apps USB stick - which I like nearly as much as DW, it's free too.

I could not agree more. I use Visual Studio for .NET, IntelliJ for Java, and PhpED for PHP development. Those that have never used a debugger are missing out. I owe many hours of rapid development and productivity to the tool. There is NO way Notepad++ or Dreamweaver could compare for me.

Yes, but this thread is regarding a PHP editor and not a PHP web application framework.

Me, for one. Unfortunately it's a framework and not an editor :)

Also, I use textmate for OSX.
