If you are good at any specific niche then you can write about it whatever you knows. For e.g. if you know more about travel and its destinations then you can write about different travel destinations at your travel related blog. Contents means information, guide, tips, own experience etc.

Write what you know - either from experience or from research.

Write what your readers want to know.

Tell your readers something they don't already know.

Organize your writing in a logical flow - kind of like a 5 paragraph essay. Introduction - Body - Conclusion. (It doesn't always have to be 5 paragraphs :))

Eliminate grammar and spelling errors. You can present the most innovative idea in the world, but if your blog post is filled with grammatical and spelling errors, it's not "good content."

Write in a "voice" that's appealing to your audience.

Keep the language simple (unless your audience requires something more complex, e.g. some parts of medical writing). I read somewhere that newspapers write on an 8th-grade level (this is in the U.S.) so readers of all ages can understand.

Read good content. You can easily learn what's good by reading some of the most popular and highly-visited blogs. Pay attention to how the blogger writes to his audience and the types of posts he is making.

When you don't have the skills to write good content (and not everyone does), hire a writer who does have the skills.

Always focus on what you know, really know about that is. If you are good at something and blog about that, content should never be a problem and "good" is a relative word my friend!

As I understood your question, you have an idea of a topic but you are not sure on how to post it, right? Well, here is my share.

1.0 Use an attractive and relevant title
2.0 Check for grammatical and spelling errors
    3.0 Use common English words
    4.0 Talk to your readers
    5.0 Make it readable
    6.0 Provide visual aids

    Good luck!

    1. Create google alerts for the topic you want to write on.
    2. Visit forums of the topic/niche you want to write on.
    3. Dont visit your rivals/competition sites.
    4. Write naturally, the keywords will place themselves.
    5. Use small images if it makes sense to.
    6. Answer unanswered questions if it makes sense on your blog.

You'll probably find that ideas for content will creep up on you - when you are trying to get to sleep, in the shower, out walking the dog or whatever. Always worth having a notebook and pencil with you, as you won't remember it later...

I think all your tips are fine, except for this one. Why shouldn't a blogger do that? In fact, I think we must even socialize with them. Who knows, you can help each other and exchange some good points.

Blogging is not a cruel world, anyway.

Good content takes a person who knows what they are talking about. Learn your topic then write about it as if you were telling someone in person about the topic. Thats just my 2 cents.

you can also goto those 'rent a blogger' sites but they aren't cheap. usually $10 / post or so but that gets you a Natural English typist compared to some of the offshore versions.

Write what you do. Share your advice.

If your blog is in a market-researched niche you know nothing about, then learn enough to say something controversial (but not idiotic). Comments will flow in to offer other opinions. Use these to educate yourself and inspire you to create more content. Keep it up.

Read as much as possible and you'll have enough knowledge for writing by yourself!
