    I think that we need to discuss sarah palin. I find that sarah palin is a good choice for a running mate for mccain. Sarah palin represents a huge portion of american familes by the current position she represents. Sarah palin is a good choice, and I think that the combination with mccains ideals about bringing the energy money back into the United States, it is a wise choice for mccain and palin.

    There's been many threads and discussions on Palin.
    So much so that i wonder if P&R [forum] stands for Palin [or pregnancy] and religion [forum].

    There's some controvesy about Pallin's desire to fire an Alaskan State Policeman that was married to her sister.

    You never hear mentioned Pallin's ex-brother-in-law tasered his stepson (Pallin's nephew) and was disciplined over the incident.

    Helluva lot more controversy than this ethics lapse probe issue, Bogart. Staying to one thing, her rep as a fiscal "Elliot Ness":

    Sarah "No Earmark" Palin sought and accepted millions in federal pork while mayor of a town with less than 9,000 people;

    She has continued the practice while governor, her state earning the dubious distinction of receiving more pork money per head than any other state in the union (source: Taxpayers for Common Sense);

    Ms. "No to No Bridge to Nowhere" was only "no" after she was "yes," with the "no" timed for political appeal, apparently.

    Many other issues, but these alone should raise some serious red flags, should they not?

    Are there any more red flags than with any other candidate..... or less? The great Governor Mark Sanford was considered the toughest and tightest person in Washington during his time there. He is also disliked more by the other republicans for this very reason. Are you playing devils advocate with Palin?

    It should be apparent from my many posts across many threads on her candidacy that no, Homebiz, I am not playing devil's advocate on this candidate, and I have shown why, on several points of contention.

    I am not sure why McCain is taking such a risk on her. Frankly speaking she is a candidate who can lift his campaigns to great heights or can destroy it totally. In such a close fight, it seemed a bit foolhardy to place such a bet rather than appoint a more conventional candidate. The gap between Obama and McCain wasn't too large before his appointment of Palin as his VP. Now it seemed to stretch a lot. That guy's really a gambler!

    After reading more, it seems the religious right wing of the GOP raised a tremendous hue and cry over his intended first choices - particularly Joe Lieberman - and he rushed in judgment to fill the gap. Naming Palin after one brief phone call from 6 months ago, another brief tag ("you got the job!") a matter of days ago, and what certainly seems to be a completely slipshod vetting process, absolutely blows my mind - and hits him hard on two of his intended strengths, "experience" and "judgment under fire."

    Why this rightist pressure wasn't known to him months ago, when he could have more calmly proceeded in selecting an alternative to his intended V.P. choices, is flatly beyond me.

    Liberman is not the best choice. He is the same on recycled VP candidate that no one wants. Why not pick Warren Bufffet?

    I don't think anyone has ever had sex before marriage before. Is this also the first time that a child has disobeyed or disregarded a parent advice? She is such an evil person.
