I also do see one major security problem maybe. When you go to a site to download something and it says the download will start in a few seconds, well Google Chrome just automaticly starts the download with no confirmations or prompts or anything.

Using it now to post this...

some neat features in it - the new incognito button to create..

"You've gone incognito. Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however."

I like the way the index pages of frequently visited sites are all on one page...

According to the webcast this morning the address bar is also a search bar. If you type in a search term instead of a url it will search on whatever your default search engine is.

Just done a speed test - same as firefox, but loads slightly different i feel

Clean browser they have nicked the opera type thumbnails favs...nice 4 out of 5 :)

When i can install my geeky plugins i may use it, but i'm sticking with firefox!

I think they will have about 5% market share by year end, microsoft explorer will still reign until google create a free operating system and get in cahoots with dell en all.

Seems ok, not sure how safe yet, just installed it, but when you right click a link you get the option to open link in new tab, open link in new window and open link in new "incognito window"

It seems nice to use, but like anything new, I will have to get use to it.

I have not had this problem yet. scrolls both up and down for me.

I noticed that it would not show https pages as thumbnails (as to be expected) but all others seem to show for me.

    Cheers
    James

tankard, haven't a clue what you're talking about. My sites all look and load the same.

Vroom! Vroom! Vroom!!! This thing practically jumped off my desktop when I started it. Blazingingly fast! It imported my bookmarks/passwords/etc. and just raced to the 'net.

You guys who expect things to automagically appear, you have to enter an url on the first try. There is no "home page" at start up though you can set it on the toolbar.

What I was curious about was this, I dont have it so google collects information about where I visit online etc, this is turned off, however after downloading chrome, inside history it has got absolutely everything I have done from Friday 29th Aug, right up until today. Quite detailled also. How do they get this?

Do you code with standards? No problem.
Does your site work in Safari? No problem.

This browser seems to be the nuts at the minute although I don't like the download automatically function. It's super fast and the features like "Inspect Element" are genius.

    Good have done good there.
