    Dear friends,

I just recently changed my site's google crawl rate from normal to fast. I know its advantage is that your site will be crawled more times and it will help the new pages indexed faster.

Though my crawl rate was normal, it was indexed within hours daily after publishing the new post.

So, my question is is it advantageous at all to increase crawl rate? Particularly since, if you check my site now, you will see that it takes a lot of time to load. This is the site: cutewriting

Can you just check it and see if it is loading fine? I will appreciate your comments about this.

    Lenin

Its somewhat slower. But I don't think thats because of fast crawl rate, you have too many images on the front page thats the reason.

If you ad content in your site every day and that you add good amount of content in your site, then I suggest you change the crawl speed to faster.

You might want to take into consideration about bandwidth limitation. If you constantly add new contents and make changes, then this would help. Otherwise, it's best to leave this setting alone.

Generally crawling faster is a good idea except where you are paying for bandwidth with your web hosting company. Because it takes more bandwidth for google to crawl your site faster you could end up with a higher bill, like i did until i change web hosting company. Just bear it in mind but don't let it put you off.

IF I were you, I will keep the crawling rate at the normal speed. Although it might be a little bit slower, but it does crawl deep inside the posts...

faster crawling also does deep coverage. It's just that the google bot accessing the site is more frequent. Also, you cant say that without checking how frequently updates are happening on a site. A site with my level of updates will see better results with a faster crawl rate.
