Correction my friend. Google cannot collect personal information coz its a law in the US. If it does so, then their future is at stake. Don't think they will be so stupid to do this. :)

I just read through their comic book at http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/ I think it looks pretty cool. Although I may not use Chrome exclusively (that would take a LOT of convincing) I will definitely DL it and take it for a test drive.

any browers won't be killed so easily.
I think Google Chrome could become the third most popular browsers.

Yeap all ready burried in digg =) But bad for google they will not be successful =) Cause they are too late. Only 12% of the world is using other browsers rather then IE. So its hard for google to achieve a big scale of customers.

Officially I will not change my browser Always Safari and it will stay safari!

I'm sure it will be great, but so many of us are not deeply invested in Firefox and the add-ons. Too bad Google didn't do this a few years ago.

Interesting theory. But i don't think they'll use it that way.

Most visited doesn't necessarily mean the most accurate.

I had a feeling they would release something this year, can't wait to see it.
I wonder how close it is to what I predicted on Dec 31 2007

Or will they take there time and slowley move towards it.

    Cheers

I don't think google has serious intentions regarding its browser yet..
they sealed a deal to continue cooperation with firefox (google as default search engine in that browser)

they yet have to find lots of bugs and fix them...
I don't think it will have any impact on SEO

In my opinion, that is possible for Google to use their own new browser as a part of ranking algorithm but I don't think Google will do it or peoples might abused their browser to cheat a game. However, I have no doubt if Google might collect your usage and personal interest through their browser for their own advertising/marketing purpose.

I dont think google would either they arnt Microsoft lol

anyhow i hope its something good, i heard its gonna be the ultimate browser 0o, btw without google, firefox wouldnt of gotten any where 0o, remember those $1.00 per firefox download, it was because of that firefox spread so fast. If it wasnt for that then opera or something would of owned the internet

I'm not too keen on the way it looks, but if it's faster than Opera I'll use it.
