not too sure about that but, is there any reason you don't wanna post everything under a single URL and just use categories to separate the topics?

I think the OP is going toward members having their own WP copy, is that correct?

Its stupid to have different themes, the posts are still going to be there - even if you only show that category.

Yes, you would need to install WP for each different one.

Why did you post just to call someone stupid? There is nothing whatsoever stupid about the OPs question or what they are trying to accomplish. If you were running several different blogs on one domain which were about different topics then why would you want (or need) to use the same theme for each one of them?

If you did use the same wordpress install for all the posts, you could probably then just rewrite the URLs so that blog.com/music just showed the posts from the music catagory.

I am not getting ur question but its what i understand,
if u are using addon domains or sub domains then u need to install multiple wordpress.

    addon domains: blog.com/music
    Subdomains are as: music.blog.com

ANd if u r asking about wordpress pages then u don't have to need multiple wp installation just logininto admin panal and go to manage > pages.
take some time in learning and when u will be familiar u will get ur ans easily.
    Hope it will be help.

Well I want to run multiple blogs with differnt themes is why I ask (like blog.com/music and blog.com/skate) so I assume I will have to install WP each time for those... which shouldnt be a big deal.
