    The forum is well designed, the theme, the color scheme, the logo and the ad placement

    It really looks nice. but if you really are looking to develop it as a buy sell and trade forum, then make it like, sitepoint.com's "market place" .
    that looks professional and people usual trust these kind of professional websites.
