hi guys, can u share with me and others how u make your website/blog popular? i believe they have a good or secret trick for that erm, please let me know what u guys doing to promote your site. example, - social bookmarking site (include list) - forum marketing - comment on another web that had PR3 higher etc... I hope someOne will share with us, thanks.
For me, I'll be working first on contents and site structure so it will be ready (SE will index it's rich contents) when I starts building links for it.
I like promoting my site on do follow blogs. These are blogs that do not block your any hyper link you place back to your site and as such help increase your page rank. if your site is good enough, and is ready for promotion, then get some quality back links from other sites. do follow blog, forums, etc is the best option.

Well, for me, it all has to do with the content. I run a blog, and I always aim to post at-least 1 unique and rich article a day. Also try various SEO techniques offered here and on other websites. But the most important of all and the ultimate secret is patience. Spend countless hours improving your website and you will eventually reap the fruits of your labour...

IMHO, Blog directory submission is still useful! But of course, getting quality links is useless if you don't have a quality content.
First, I'll concentrate on posting some decent amount of posts.. then submit the articles to digg,indianpad,etc. They'll bring some decent traffic.. and I'll submit a sitemap to google, and once the articles are indexed well... I'll start getting traffic from search engines too
It's very important to have some partners. They will be able to give a nice boost of your site by simply mentioning it in some article or something like that. That's the best way to get some quality in-content links with the desired anchor text
Article marketing works fine for me. Post quality articles to article directories and you will get some traffic and link from the "About the author box". If you submit to more article directories create a few different versions of your author bio so you can get links to internal pages and optimize your website for more keywords.
commenting on blogs (not spam) , participating on forums with signatures of ur site,.. Digg, SU n more for Social bookmarking sites the main thing is the content of ur site to attract visitors and search engines towards ur site more .. content will make ur site crawl better in search engines and get serp too.
Nothing, i usually just let them rot in ignored website hell. But if i had to do it as i should, i'd first add enough content and make sure that the website offers something useful to the average visitor. Then put a link to it in forum signatures [related forums]. Stumble it and then digg some interesting article. Submit to DMOZ and so on. This link will explain all ...... or your money back. Sign up to google webmaster tools and from their you can submit a sitemap. Google Adwords is where you create an advert that google displays and everytime some clicks on your ad, you pay a fee.
