Hey guys. I have heard that a great way to get back links is by using Squidoo and Hubpages. However, I have recently found that the links from these sites seem to be NoFollow. What gives? Here's the article I just wrote. 3 Hardgainer Weight Gain Tips If you look in the HTML you can see that the link titled Hardgainer Online, which links to my site http://www.hardgaineronline.com/ is a NoFollow link. What gives?
squidoo is 100% dofollow. regarding hubpages, it starts off as nofollow but once your hubscore get over 75, your link becomes dofollow. you can check my lens and hubpages and will see they are dofollow http://www.squidoo.com/lens_creation_service http://hubpages.com/hub/Social-Bookmarking-Submission-Service
If squidoo was 'dofollow' then why is the link to my site 'nofollow' http://www.squidoo.com/hardgainerweightgaintips Even look for yourself man.
yes, i c your lens is giving you nofollow links to your site. but you can check my lens and you will see they are dofollow links. i can probably help you get this taken care of. will send you a PM later once i get back home, going out now
If your site is low on content its going to be classified as a "Work in Progress" Add another text module or two with some extra content and it should go "dofollow" in a day or two. More content will also help you promote the lens, which will increase the value of the link, and you can always include direct affiliate links on your Squidoo page so you can make it more of a landing/sales page on its own right.
This is because you don't have enough modules, and your lens is still in WIP. Squidoo considers your lens to be low quality because it doesn't include any information, and has marked your links nofollow. Make your lens better by adding more content and modules, and the nofollows will be removed.
High quality Squidoo lenses are DoFollow. No doubt about that. I'm not 100% sure about the hubpages (I don't use them) but they seem to be NoFollow all the time.
yes, you are right. I have seen his lense and he needs to create at least 3 modules with such a good content and I guess also need some visits too. and, I think after couple of hours his squidoo lense will be nofollow free. Checkout my lense Conservatory Outlet for an example.
<a target="_blank" href="http://www.hardgaineronline.com/">hardgainer online</a> Code (markup): there is no NoFollow link now
Squidoo lenses must be in Featured Status to be dofollow. HubPage hubs must be over 50 in HubScore AND your AuthorScore must be over 75 to be dofollow.
you do not actually need high quality lens for it to be dofollow. i have build ton of lenses and all my lenses are dofollow within 24-48 hours of creation. all it matters is to whether the lens has a grey mark in the dashboard showing WIP (word in preogress) or has a green check next to it. if there is a green check, it means the hub is considered as complete and is now dofollow. regarding hubpages, all hubs are nofollow to start with but hubbers who have their personal hubscore of 75+, their hubs are dofollow.
I think Sultans of Swing ( sorry couldn't resist) is right on the money with this comment. If you show a bit of love to hubpages it will oblige nicely - just get your score over 75 like sultanofseo suggests.
Holy cow! How I missed those dofollow links. I joined Squidoo and HubPages but never do like you guys did. I hope I can spare my time learning much more about these. Thanks for the discussion.
