On Ebay's website, I found a link to where I can order pre-branded shipping boxes from the United States Postal Service absolutely free! Is there any sort of catch to this? This sounds too good to be true
They are probably flat-rate boxes. You can order those for free, but you are locked into a flat priority rate for the shipment. I think it's $4.95 for domestic with the envelope. The boxes are It's a good deal for light thing that need to go International, but you may be able to just send it media mail or parcel post for cheaper. It's E-bay though, so just pass the costs off . The boxes range from $9 to $12 depending on weight restrictions and size.
Well it's free - that is all that matters I ordered 10 of Flat Rate Priority Mail Box Dimensions: 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and 10 of Priority Mail Box Dimensions: 7" x 7" x 6"
no catch at all. When I was selling on ebay, I was ordering free USPS boxes and they was delivered for free directly to my door. When I stopped selling, I could keep them as I ordered a way much than I needed. I didn't need them, so I just stopped by my local post office and turned them back. It's that simple. I think USPS is trying to compete with FedEx by providing free boxes...
Well considering that USPS is a government sponsored business, I don't think there will be much competition
