HubPages is another Web2.0. It is free to use and allow Hubber(author) to share anything in a Hub(a web page in HubPages). Hubber creates as many Hubs as they like and socialised with other Hubbers to get traffics. In the meantime, you can earn money too from Adsense, Ebay, Amazon, & Kontera. It is like Squidoo just that HubPages doesn't allow porn & you doesn't have much freedom on using so many links.
Once your lenses come out of WIP (at least 3 modules and some traffic), the nofollows will be removed.
Hi, You are right. I got individual hub score above 75 and my link became dofollow but after couple of days my individual hub score went down below 75 and my link became again nofollow. I mean to say if we do nothing for few days in hubpage, individual score will go down and link will become nofollow again. so what we suppose to do to make individual hub score steady above 75?
Thanks. I guess you need a fair amount of traffic then, considering none of my lenses have had nofollow removed.
Hi GaryPM, i do agree with you that Hubpages seems to have more authority. But does anyone knows whether your dofollow links will turn into nofollow if you are not consistently active on hubpages?
Hi guys, Looks like i am not the only one asking this question....Anyone knows?? What i am doing is to consistently contribute and comments on other hubs. I also write new hubs consistently. But these seems to be too time consuming...any one has any good ideas? thanks
i never tried either hubpages or squido, this is really looks good. Going to make a squido lens right now . thank you.
Because of all that Hub score stuff and whatever, I don't bother with hubpages. Squidoo is king and works well for me. Let me give you an example, a few days ago I created a lens in my niche, targetting a phrase which is searched for around 500 times a day according to SEOBook's keyword suggestion tool. I created this lens at lunchtime and THAT EVENING it was ranked first page in Google for that keyword I was targetting. Enough said!
Hey, It's really great. Well, would u like to share with us that how do u achieve it? and one more question is how to bring traffic to ur squidoo lenses ? coz now I hv enough knowledge about creating lenses but what about traffic? thanks..
Use SEOBook's keyword suggestion tool to find some decent long tail keywords related to your niche which get a fair amount of searches each day, only keep the ones which have less than 500,000 max competitors for your keyword with quotes around it. ie, if the keyword is make money, search google for "make money", which by the way has 59,900,000 results. Then just create a Squidoo lens with your best or best-fitting keyword in the title and use all your other keywords throughout the page. That's your best bet for getting a good Google ranking, but don't expect to be indexed as fast as I was, some of my lenses have taken several months to get indexed, however I did not do keyword research for those so maybe that's saying something. In regards to getting traffic to your lenses, I start off with social bookmarking to get a decent off-the-line headstart, and then hopefully the search engines will pick me up and keep the traffic flowing. I've got a kick-ass StumbleUpon profile by the way which gets me several hundred hits a pop.
I have joined squido and hubpages five months before, initially it has a good rank in squido but it's going down day by day, any suggestions how to improve the ranking and the score at hubpages
squidoo is awesome! i have made multiple and still making good lenses almost everyday for my clients hope i can discover much more..
Hey, thanks buddy for ur suggestions. well, can I have ur few squidoo lenses links for further study (just to see how u create lenses) ? If u don't mind coz it seems that you have enough skills about squidoo and hubpages and I'm really getting interest in squidoo and hubpages. Thanks...
No point studying my lenses, the only thing I did right was the keyword research. Check out the top 100 to see what makes a decent lens. In my opinion don't bother with HubPages, why create a hub when you can create a Squidoo lens? Squidoo lenses tend to rank better, and your links are dofollow. If you get a certain score with HubPages, then I think you do get dofollow links aswell. The only reason I would use HubPages is if I were targetting the same keyword as my ezine-articles and Squidoo lenses, and that would be for getting the most top-rankings in Google. Edit: Having done some research it looks like HubPages rank better in Google. I think this could be because of the hubscore and nofollow rule they have. Could be.
