I generally hold my breath, lie back and think of England.

I've done a lot of exams. Little and often works best for me: it's far better to have 4 x 15 minute bursts of revision spread over the day than 1 hour at once. Similarly, it's far better to write revision notes than just read and remember chunks of text.

I usually focus all my revision to the last fortnight before the exam.

you mean study for 15 mins every hour:confused:
It's difficult to concentrate if you study off and on:(

Not necessarily 15 minutes every hour, no. Little and often - say 15 minutes 5 or 6 times a day. Even when I was revising for my PhD viva I never did more than about 2 hours a day. I find revising for longer than 15 minutes leaves you open to distractions - background noise, answering the door, making a cup of coffee or just getting bored.

I used to prepare for examinations through a combination of not revising, smoking pot and drinking. I tend to do a lot better if i don't revise.

Makes no sense at all, I know.

depends on the exams :D in most cases I don't prepare but if I think they're important I'll study the stuff that the exam will be about for arround 1 hour and most time thats enough to get a good result

I used to do a lot of cramming just before the exam. Definitely not suggested :)

Best is try to get a good sleep before the actual exam date so that you can have a clear mind to think well.
